FOR SALE Be Careful. Might Be A Scammer On Here

Victor Lee is not a scammer. He is real, I know him very well. Those posts where legit.

Cary
That was my mistake! Didn't know that leather seats were an option so thought he was a scammer. Hopefully he returns to get his camper sold, and I'll be able to apologize...

I apologize for starting this thread, I found the email address just too hard to believe

thanks
Steve

I don't think you need too --- While I Hope we hear from him again, perhaps Cary can salve the wound. The posts fit a particular set of criteria that concerned us all, methinks.

1] New member with no posts
2] Only posts made were in sale/wanted
3] All posts were basically identical
4] No personal details, no serial numbers, or customization of response

I can tell you from past experience, moderating forums is a thankless job, and today scammers use technology to bring naive prospects into their lairs with amazing efficiency. If you want to go down a rabbit hole, look up "scammer revenge" on youtube.

What scammers do is frighteningly simple, taking only a few dollar to do, with complete anonymity. With a very cheap piece of software I could call you, changing my caller ID, and look like I was calling from anyone, anypalce, any name in the world -- and you'd realistically never find me.

I too thought the email addy was too cute.
With the too brief description it looked like other scammer posts here and elsewhere.

Victor could have updated it, added serial number, photos; appealed to mods or Cary by PM, problem solved.

Sorry that Victor departed but not sorry for liking the caution, and do appreciate the community here that supports it.
