Camper Names

I was wondering if everyone has a name for their rigs? We don't, but have been thinking about it. My girlfriend suggested the "Sin Bin" but for some reason I didn't go for that! HEHE. My husband wants a manly name and I like cute names....so what have you guys named yours...maybe it will give us some ideas?

Our is called "SnuggleBug". I heard of several others called something-Bug as well - perhaps a 'bug' name will work for you.

Our story is similar to yours Linda. Our last name is Mc****, so we felt we had to go with the Mc theme too. Our youngest son had the nickname McNugget in HS, and Jim's first job was at McDonald's, so it only stands to reason! We shortened ours to McNugit, so we could fit it on our personalized license plate. It's our little McNugit!!

We named ours Suite Retreat. We used to tent but do to physical needs can not so for the past few years we were stuck using motels. This is the best suite yet. Pat

Karin and I call ours "Towed Hall Bed and Breakfast" She is a frog fan so our logo includes frogs. A co-worker of hers, upon seeing a picture of our 560, starting refering to it as a toaster. Then when we were at Devils Tower, a guy walked by, I would like to think that he did not realize that we were in the car, said "that's just a can, waiting for a bear to open it"... needless to say he got into a really big 5th wheel rig. Wanted to give him a piece of my mind but Karin kept me quiet.

We are calling ours 'Dottie', for several reasons. 1) my grandparents always named every vehicle and their RVs were where we had lots of happy times, and we named her in honor of my grandmother: her name was name was Dorothy. 2) She is going to look like a little dot behind our car!

I dunno about "Dottie." Sounds too much like "dotty." when my grandkids start calling me dotty, I'm going to start wondering what they think of my mental state.

I havn't settled on a name yet.

Kinda like: Ah, shucks

other ideas are appreciated.

I am curious...when people buy boats that already have names, they generally leave them due to a superstition that changing the name brings bad luck (I guess it changes the juju of the vessel). Is there a similar feeling in regards to TDs, or does the juju stay unaffected? The names really are a personal thing, so I day go with your gut!

I suppose it depends if the name is on the CI if it is you may not want to change it unless of course you hate the name.

We have followed the ship theme and ours will have the graphic as per my Avatar with the name and home city very much like a ship.

We are also having made in Wisconsin on the graphic in Honor of Camp Inn.

Hmm, maybe I should name her Uff Da or U Betcha

While Uff da (as in the "Uff da Inn") has a nice ring to it, I always associate it with Craig's grandmother's explanation of the meaning...

Uff da is when you have to take out the trash
Ish da is when the bag breaks & the trash goes everywhere
Fi da is having to pick up the spilled trash

Now, "Ya sure, you betcha", that's a different story...

For those of us not from Wisconsin...

One slight correction...being that it is a Norwegian saying, most commonly used in Minnesota, particularly in northern Minnesota, where a large concentration of Scandinavians live (including Craig's family & mine too (even though there is not a drop of Scandinavian in my blood).

Wisconsin is known for its high concentration of Germans.

Ya, traveling down the road, saw this neat camper. Talked to this gal about the camper, CI, can't remember her name, except the name of the TD: Uff Da Inn.
