Eureka Screen Tent

Being in Minnesota we know we will have to contend with mosquitos and deer flies - so got the screen tent. We are very happy with it. The easy up was not easy for us - too heavy. The screen tent goes up easily and was very rain proof - we rigged a couple of tarps up so we could go back and forth from the cabin to the galley without getting wet - very sweet and easy but Funky looking. We opened the fan enough for good air movement pulled the fly over it and bungied it to the front and then using the small (10") bungie cords attached our tarps - one on each side. Might not work in a windy storm but great for a soaking rain. And of course we were giving tours and many comments about how neat the 550 and screen tent worked together.

Pat,

1st, You did a VERY good looking job of creating shelter from the critters.
2nd, We will never camp in Minnesota.

No wonder Craig said we wanted to pick up our tear on June 1'st rather than July 1st for our trip over the Great Lakes to get home. We won't be going to Alaska either.

The zipper hater,

Hilditch,
I too hate the zippers! The side tent was on my side one night of the 20. Besides the zippers, I hate looking out my window and seeing grey tent. Tim, on the other hand, LOVES the tent -he likes to stand to dress and have a place to put stuff. So the tent will always be on his side, our in the car!

Although, If we go to Alaska, I may need to compromise.....
