How To Buy A Used Ci?

We have been looking for a 560 Ultra with AC for a while, and one came up for sale.
But…

We can’t go look at it for 2 weeks (it’s 7 hours away and we work full time) and seller is wanting earnest money to hold it.

I am very cautious and need some advice about this situation. Has anyone used an escrow service or some other method in this situation?

I want a CI 560, but I obviously can’t just send a check to people I don’t know.
Help wise Camp Inn owners!

First step is to get the unit number and VIN and call CI to make sure the unit for sale is legit. After that, if Cary has had a relationship with the prior owners I would just pay a nominal earnest money (~$250). I think we did a deposit of $500 with ours the day before we saw the unit and a week before we picked it up.

Depending on how it sounds versus what you are looking for, you might consider no deposit and give yourself more leverage when actually seeing it and negotiating a price. Not everything sells within two weeks.
