I've got teardrop envy...

I want to purchase a teardrop trailer, (new or used) and saw this site. It's a great place to get better informed - and to dream about - before the purchase. I love Camp-Inn's design and quality of materials... I've got teardrop envy!!

Soon it will be decision time, which model... and deciding on my all important trailer name...hmmm my guess the obvious "toaster", "pea pod" and "love shack" may be already taken. Did you name your trailer? What's your trailer's name?

Welcome, and yes this is a great place to get TD envy. We already had our 550 when this site was established. If not, I am not sure I would have been able to handle cruising this site. I spent hours on line with the Camp-Inn official site. Every time I closed it down, I felt a little bit of sadness. I still had no teardrop, no Camp-Inn. But finally it was to be. We could take it no more. We ordered, we picked it up and we camp.
Oh yeah, we have not given a name to our camper. Occasionally we refer to it as the Drop. That may be the name.
Again, welcome.
Steve

Welcome to the site! Folks here are very friendly and informative, and will answer any question you have. Everyone has different areas of expertise and different experiences with camping, and are quick to help.

Plus, if you want to see one in person (which usually ensures a purchase pretty quick after - be careful!), this is a good place to locate someone (or Cary at Camp-inn can hook you up). :)

Enjoy!

Welcome! We are waiting for our 560 to be completed so we can't speak to how well it will work for us. I can say that we opted for it because we have a toddler and hope to have another little one in the future. The bunkbed plus the extra space from the panoramic windows were key features. We saw Eileen's 550 and it was a great camper--perfect for couples. Seeing both in person will definitely bring it home for you. Cary and forum folks are great with helping you do that.

We have a 3-year old, so when we saw that couch and how it turned into a bunk, we were sold. Plus, in our neck of the woods, if you don't camp in the rain, you often don't camp, and depending on where you are (mountains especially) weather can change quick. Having the extra room made sense if we get stuck inside for a majority of the day...especially with 3 of us right now.

We opted not to get the TV. I have an iPad loaded with movies, and I felt like we were covered. Plus, we don't watch much TV when we are away from home (and are trying to cut back when we are), but we might have a special movie night for the lad or we might want to watch something. We have been considering getting some little speakers for inside, as the iPad speakers aren't very loud and hard to hear from the couch when we use one of the cabinet doors as the shelf. Otherwise it works great!

I have more of a Raindrop Ultra 560 envy, but living some 7000 miles away from Necedah all I can do is dream for now. Stunning looking product for sure, well done Craig & Cary

Hi... Welcome!
My daughter and I share a 560.... we like the exta space of the couch, for us to sit and the dogs to sleep. At this point we are not so much campers as travelers so we don't carry much extended outdoor space with us. The couch has come in handy when we have had rainy/snowy days in our travels. We also did not go with the TV instead using a laptop or ipad for movies. We did get the refrigerator instead of a cooler and are very pleased with not having to deal with ice. Keep asking questions and be sure to find one close by to see! The workmanship, creativity and support of Cary and Craig are way beyond expections.

I see you are in Florida. I'm in Sarasota if you want to see our 550 please let me know. There is nothing like seeing one in person. I'd be very happy to have you come by if you are in the area. Tel # 941-356-6470.

Welcome,

We are located in Daytona Beach area if you are interested in looking at a 560. A 560 owner was gracious enough to let us see hers before we decided to buy ours. Meribeth and I will be driving up your way around May 21st if you would like to look at our 560.

The Folks at Camp Inn put out a quality trailer and the customer support is always there.

Beware !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! once seen in person you'll get the dreaded wanabee disease the only known cure is to become a Camp Inn gonnabe.
