Just For Fun: What's The Strangest Thing In Your Ci?

You mean besides me? My wife has inflatable, solar powered lamps...not really weird but can't really think of anything weird.

My mom got me one of those for Christmas! I actually love it. I just used it last weekend when my power went out at home!

I supposed the oddest thing I have is an American flag windsock. My friends and I, uh "acquired it irresponsibly" when we were in high school and it's flown at every campsite for the last 25 or so years. It's not in the best shape, but it always gives me a chuckle when I hang it at camp.

Maybe not too strange, but I have a LaCrosse (simple) weather station inside. The outside monitor travels inside, but when camping it hangs on the handle of the front wheel jack in a net like bag. I always check the chains, hitch, and electric hook up before driving, so mounting the outside monitor there it will not be forgotten to stow inside before departing.

The weather station has a barometer, clock, date, indoor and outdoor temperature and relative humidity. Also, the 24 hour min / max temperature is remembered by the device.

I can only guess I glanced over this post, or just completely missed it the 1st time I went thru this thread.

Depending on conditions, the weather station sounds like an awesome idea.

Can you share some more about your weather station? What model you purchased? and would you recommend that model to others? Or maybe something higher or lower end?

I think this is an awesome idea, thanks again for sharing.

I had to think about this for a while, as it isn't my idea, I just helped. It is my wife's.

She loves the 550 as much as I do, but took an immediate hating to the curtains. I don't know why, seemed OK to me, and they weren't soiled or anything.

Not only did she hate the curtains, she hated the plastic sliders. In response, she purchased new curtain sunblocking material (in blue) and sewed up new curtains. next, we pulled out the OEM sliders that attach the curtains to the interior doors and front window.

We replaced that hardware with (thin) steel. Painted now, but ultimately will probably powder coat it. Why? Well, we are attaching the curtains to the interior of the vehicle with magnets.

A potted baby groot from the Garians of the Galaxy movies. He is either in the kitchen or a center piece on the picnic table.
Early COVID thread resurrected…

Baby Groot is mighty fine!

We also have a small Gumby and Pokey that travel in the kitchen, just to give little kid visitors an opportunity to find them. <smile>

Stainless steel martini glasses, complete with little metal swords for olives. Also good for rum & Coke with maraschino cherries. The glasses go well with the aesthetics of the trailer. They're excessive, but that's the point.

Not a lot of posts on the forum with camping season on hold, so here's one, just for fun. What is the strangest thing you keep in your Camp Inn? Something you actually use/love but you're willing to bet most people would say is a total waste of precious storage space? I'm willing to bet that what seems weird to us is actually pretty normal, but maybe there are some truly unique items out there.

For me, it's a butter slicer.

Wierdest thing in MY campinn? ME!
