HOMEMADE MOSQUITO TRAP:
Items needed:
1 cup of water
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 gram of yeast
1 2-liter bottle

HOW:
1. Cut the plastic bottle in half.
2. Mix brown sugar with hot water. Let cool. When cold, pour in the bottom half of the bottle.
3. Add the yeast. No need to mix. It creates carbon dioxide, which attracts mosquitoes.
4. Place the funnel part, upside down, into the other half of the bottle, taping them together if desired.
5. Wrap the bottle with something black, leaving the top uncovered, and place it outside in an area away from your normal gathering area. (Mosquitoes are also drawn to the color black.)

Change the solution every 2 weeks for continuous control.

I think the theory is like a fish/crab/lobster trap can't hit the hole to get out.
Basically it's once in, "Bugs...deal with it..."

of course after a week or less, not being fed, Hungary than a vampire on a summer day in the arctic circle, you sure as heck DON'T want to DROP it... if you do, just make sure you can run faster than the next person.. heheh..

They should make a video of them.. from a distance..

So is this what you do with your soda bottles after your mentos experiments? :)

Saw this on the Homesteading page a few days ago. Wonder how well it works?

Yah, you betcha, it's all about recycling... well, sorta...

No idea on the effectiveness... will try it when sitting around the campfire wondering what to do next... heheh

Just ordered my Yeti chests, 35 & 65..
I'm done, reconfiguring, and ready to go...

See ya on the road...
