New Camping Buddy

We be joined by our new camping buddy this fall. We picked Archie up a few weeks ago and he should be ready for an October weekend. Labor Day weekend, we’ll be at Lee State Park so we can attend the Southern 500 in Darlington, but can’t exactly take a dog to the race track.

Not much camping this year for us with my father’s health declining & then losing him last week, it’s been a strange summer for us. One camping weekend & one trip to the coast is all we managed for the summer. Getting back into coaching for me ate up some weekends we normally would have been camping. School is starting tomorrow for me & next week for Mary Ellen, so for now it will be weekend trips only. After our trip to see the race, we’ll get in a few weekend trips this fall & get Archie into camping . Our other Corgis loved camping & hopefully he will too.

Not an easy thing, when someone who's been there for you all of your life, one day no longer is. We've both been there twice each, and while ultimately life goes on, it's never quite the same. Our sincere condolences.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm on that journey now too --- its probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I just thank God every day that He's allowing me to do it.

What a cute traveling companion ... he aught to keep things interesting :D
