Don't be hatin'! It's not a bad camper....and Cary just proved what a class act camp-inn is. I'm just glad to see more quality products and less fibre board being slapped together....
 
When I was going through my decision making process, the Vistabule was on my short list. For various reasons, which all of you understand, a CI 'won' my internal debate. There are lots of great manufacturers out there and some build in their garage ones are awesome, too.

I could easily see someone picking a Vistabule over a CI, that convertible couch was tempting to me, too.

I have to think that sleep comfort would be lower in the Vistabule than in the TD - that foam moved too easily to be all that thick. That thickness of foam might be OK for folks weighing less than 150, but for the bigger folks, thicker is better.

I did like the windows. Of course, all those windows would require more window coverings, unless you do always want to wake up at dawn.

I didn't like the pass-through from the cabin to the galley. Not exactly sure why they did that. I donj't really want my bed to smell like my dinner.

There's almost no storage in the Vistabule, it seems. It's more like a tent plus a picnic basket on wheels than a camper, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Competition is always good as it breeds innovation.

Those are all really good observations. One thing I should point out, and I should mention this to Bert next time I talk to him. That pass through is a no-no. RVIA standards does not allow access to a cooking area where a gas appliance would be located on a RV with a cabin as small as a teardrop. There is a minimum cabin volume. He should make that feature go away on his design.

I did just get to talk to a customer who got to sit in the Vestibule at the RV show shown in the video on Friday. She said it was nice but didn't like the sofa. Her issue was that it seemed like the wall with the window in it was way too close to her face when sitting on the sofa. Hmm, I really didn't see that looking at the video but she said it was pretty deceptive before you sat in it. Plus, she was saying this while sitting on the sofa of a 560, so was comparing between the two somewhat.

Still a nifty trailer though.

My first thought was that it provides a serving area from the galley to the cabin. However, their brochure states that it's to allow a line of sight from the TV through your rear view mirror while you're driving (there's a window on the galley hatch).

I still like the idea of the convertible bed/couch. I might be willing to settle for a thinner mattress to have that feature. I'll stick with my CI, but definitely would like to see one of these up close.

All designs create innovation! Love the picnic basket on wheels, will have to remember that comment when someone asks in the future!
 
With our grey days up here in the PNW, I am loving those windows. I carry an eye mask with me, but love the light hen I can get it. There are some neat ideas there for sure. No bunks though, although I suppose I could put laddy under the mattress in those foot wells for the night! :)
 
my picnic-basket-on-wheels comment isn't entirely fair, as you can't sleep in a picnic basket. More a picnic basket jammed inside a tent..on wheels

and, again, there is NOTHING wrong with that
