Announcement Ordered A 560 Ultra

Ok I can wait no longer the suspense is killing me.

We have just ordered our 560 Rainbow. We are just waiting for the purchase contract and with the typical Canadian post it is taking far to long. As soon as that arrives the deposit is on its way and the long wait till May 2011 delivery starts.

According to Cary the Washer is White and the Dryer is Blue. This was an option that Annie insisted on ordering.

So the news has been leaked! :D Well, I'm glad you finally burst open the flood gates and told everyone your plans. . . . as for our "pony express" mail system, all I can say is it will test your patience. At one point I was sure the postal service worker delivered it to someone else's house - after all, what other explanation could there be? :crazy:

I see you selected the tv/dvd. With the way technology changes so rapidly, that was one thing I really waffled on. It would be nice to have, but I wonder what owners of these systems will do when dvd players become outdated. Maybe a future trip to Necedah for updating is the plan or is this even a concern for those of you with a tv/dvd?

Not a concern. My record player still works and makes music, and the digital TV tuner will be around for a while. Plus, it has more holes in the side for inputs than even Evan can fill up. We don't have ANYTHING that isn't outdated. If you do, just wait a month.

I agree with Hilditch. DVDs will be around for at least a few more years and that means a lot of rainy nights in the tear between now and then. And between now and then I'm sure Cary and Craig will have cooked something up.

We plan on a 6,000km trip down to pick up ourselves a quick trip down and a nice relaxing trip back up to Nova Scotia possible around some of the great lakes.

I could not wait any longer Kelly I had to burst out its like being an expectant father.

I did look at the TV/DVD in some detail as I was worried about the unit being unavailable and not being able to source a replacement. Having seen the way the unit fits into the Teardrop it does not seem that it would be a great issue to replace with somthing similar.

I also managed to get the make and model and research the brand and the connections availiable so as Hilditch says you can plug lots of stuff into the TV.

And we have also come up with the name Rosy Lee for our 560.
 
I updated your info on the map, Barry & Annie. Congratulations! Perhaps someday we'll do a 560 swap for a couple of weeks. Want to visit the NW?

That sounds like a plan but you are going to have to wait for us to wear it out a bit first.
