Seems like a very good ifea if you have access to AC. I do not.
The CampInn covers are very stout.
I've stored mine covered and uncovered for long periods of time in an outdoor lot but in a semi-desert environment.
But anything under cover is gonna generate some condensation at times.
I'm now playing around with the idea of cutting out a section of a spare cover and gluing/sewing in a plastic panel, to allow sun to power the rooftop solar, (or where you could slide under and let sit on roof a small battery type battery maintenance solar panel that RV owners use) to keep the CI battery topped off.
Powering something like this by DC would be an easy way to avoid changing out silica bags, inside. I dint see any on Amazon in a quick dcan.
AC version witout handy lot power would need an inverter of course plugged into a cigarette lighter outlet in the CI, and that sucks more bat-tree juice.
One could Ask the former inverter engineers at CampInn what they think. Good for storing camera gear and other things long term in the CI.
Looks like these and others like it at Amaxon use about the equivalent of a lightbulb. You'd want to be sure you dont let the battery get inadvertently get drained by an unknown or ghost draw...ask me how I know!
Hmmm.
