South Dakota residency

Anyone familiar with S. Dakota? Any sense if it would be a good state in which to establish residency? Since we'll be going full-time we need to obtain residency somewhere and SD looks promising. Also considering TX and FL.

It is for people who are or going to be full time. Lots of discussions regarding residency. One of the issues with South Dakota relates to the changes to healthcare coverage in that state.

I have been on the forum site that you recommended and have gotten some great information! Thanks so much for suggesting it. Due to health insurance issues in South Dakota we are looking at Florida as a possibility. Diane

You are welcome. I saw your posts over there. They are very helpful. I am not surprised that you are looking at Florida based on the feedback regarding South Dakota health insurance. It is too bad because I believe South Dakota was a popular choice for fulltimers.

Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't lose a congressman once all of the fulltimers change their residency.
