Cathy, right now we are 80% go for Cheaha State Park (in your back yard) for the weekend of July 15th - Mountain top campground only. It should be the coolest place in Alabama that weekend. You & us could be a start.

Sounds like the beginning of a plan ! Let's talk it up. I think there are 2 other C-I's in Alabama but I don't know them (yet).

Sorry, sounds interesting but that is the weekend of the Crossroads of America gathering in Indiana. Over 100 trailers registered so far and lots of activities planned. :)


It is nice camping down in your area though. Went through the area last November and would love to explore more down there.
 
Back on track. We have made our reservations in the mountain top Cheaha campground for July 13 - 17th. Y'all are welcome to join in.

Oh wait a minute....... that trip would take me past South Pitsburgh wouldn't it. That would not be good for my budget. LOL
 
Hilditch - ok! Look forward to sharing some ghost stories with you around the campfire -- IF we get some rain and the burn ban is cancelled! When a child my dad bought land somewhere way out in the sticks somewhere near Jasper, and we camped in an old moonshiner cabin... S-T-R-A-N-G-E things happened there!

Know what you mean George! I've got my eye on a 15" Lodge skillet -- now what would I do with that?
