Morning along the Madison River in SW Montana. Taken last week on a fishing trip. Delayed breakfast until I found a sunbeam to thaw the galley hatch. Glad I have the furnace...
Ah, yes spring under the Big Sky. I worked the Butte mines in the 70's--marvelous people, geology, and rivers. Montana fly-fishing always best in early spring when it's "spittin snow", IMHO. Enjoy.
The fishing was actually pretty good! The wind (very high for three days and nights) made fly fishing a bit of a challenge -- and the trailer was even shaking pretty well at night. But the trailer sure beats a tent for this sort of trip!
Yah, my brother lives in Missoula and has been an avid fly fisherman for some 60+ years now... HE loves it there and is an accomplished photog of the local stuff and Alaskan thingies... the big furry ones....
