Storage Question

Where do you store your camp-inn?

If you had the perfect storage location, where would it be?

What features would you have in the storage location(Things like power hookup, water access, climate control, gray water drain, etc.)?

Currently in the tuck under garage.....has power, climate control available. Option for water if I run a hose thru the service door to water heater in house. Gray water drain: garage floor has a built in drain.


Perfect would be: large heated shop....and not stuck in Minnesota for the winter.

I don't think you need water for your storage location.

Obviously it depends what you intend to do with it while in "storage." If you plan to drain the tank in your "storage" location, then you need a place to drain the tank. If you drain it elsewhere, then not.

Yes, electricity
Yes, temperature control (somewhat), unless you are winterizing
Yes, a roof (and sides, even), unless you are going au natural or covering it

I currently store in my garage because it is easier to wash/clean my car than it is to wash/clean my TD

We keep ours stored in our shed and covered, I plug it in once a week to keep the battery topped off, it is not heated but it is out of the weather, I also keep the jacks down to keep some of the weight off the tires.
 
Snugglebug lives in our one car garage.

I don't think you will want to drain your tank in your garage. The grey water stinks.
 
Ours gets the garage. I keep the landline plugged all the time, and try to move the trailer a couple times during the winter - I heard once that it's not good for the wheel bearings to just sit for long periods. Oly, that's a good idea to use the jacks to keep all the weight off the wheels.

Storage you say... heck, now is the time to be camping, LOL...
"Le Droppe" is in the garage, plugged in and ready to go on the next outing. One shortly, Jan = Leavenworth for dog sledding, Feb was going to take it to Yellowstone, but a little too cold for that one, but out around the Oly Penn Loop or local...
Fun... T'is the season you know, heheh...

Used to store outside in Apt Parking lot with cover... and sea/land anchors...
 
We've let Crab Pot have part of the garage while we are prepping for an outing. Otherwise we keep it in Carol's brother's garage here in The Villages. He bought a house last year but hasn't moved here yet so the Pot gets a nice private site between trips.
Speaking of trips, we're at Cape Canaveral with Benn and Meribeth this week. We had hoped to see two night launches but one was cancelled and one was moved. But the county campground, Jetty Park Campground, is great. Right on the ocean and the inlet that serves Port Canaveral that is home to several cruise ships. We saw 2 Carnival and 1 Disney cruise pull out last night. Pics will be up when we get home. They were so close as they moved through the inlet!

You have a great idea also to move the wheels to keep the bearings free.
I think I will just lift mine up with the jacks and give them some spins.
Boy the ideas just keep coming.
