I used to think my grandfather had such a head-spinning existence; being born in the age of horse-driven buggies, then living to see a man walk on the moon. Then I look at myself and remember waiting for the vacuum tubes to light up in the TV or radio, sugar cubes with polio vaccine, the coming of stereo, transistor radios, the first cord-free phone, the first heart transplant, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the crumbling of the Soviet empire and all the chaos that followed.... But I digress.
It's a scary and wondrous time we live in. What next?
