Our new trailer on a brief side trip on our way back to Boise. The Needles Highway has been a favorite destination since my dad drove us there in a 1964 Chevrolet Impala station wagon inthe summer of 1967. Back then we were too awe-inspired by the scenery to get car sick from the twisty road...
You'll note that our temporary Maine registration blew off after less than 250 miles from the factory, revealing our Camp-Inn plate. But we made it home with no troubles from the local highway patrols.
TD #531 near the Eye of the Needle (8' 4" width tunnel) in the Black Hills on our maiden voyage.
