Itinerary Tear Jerkers Munising Tourist Park Campground Pictured Rocks September 9-11

There a spot which is central for common events such as potlucks etc?

Sweeney, I don't know as it is being put on by the Great Lakes Tearjerkers. Great Lakes Gathering UP Munising Tourist Park Campground Pictured Rocks September 9-11 - TearJerkers

They have a new Chapter Director so I am not certain what is going on. Cindy and I enjoy being "Yoopers" in the fall so we are going. There is Captain Ron's fish truck up there and as always there are Pasties. So if nothing else we will eat good.

If I don't deplete all of the Upper Hand Yooper Ale around the campfire, I'll have some to bring home and restock the garage refrigerator.

Need to win the lottery otherwise we’ll both be teaching the youth of the Palmetto State in September. Have not camped in the UP, but the year before we bought our Camp Inn we rented a cabin in Au Train near Munising. Beautiful place, nice people and hope to make it back soon.

Fyi, ‘membership’ in tearjerkers.net consists of registering on the forum. There are no fees or anything. Based on my experience, a tearjerker is anyone anywhere that has ever had at least one moment of appreciation for a tiny camper.

even signing up on the forum isn’t required…but I suspect it’s really difficult to find gatherings if you aren’t a forum member.

Don't think we can make it, but I'd suggest a Lehto's pastie, if you're coming up from the lower peninsula. They are located on US 2 about 7-8 miles west of the Mackinaw Bridge. Muldoon's in Munising is pretty good too. Mountain biking on Grand Island is nice. It's just a few minute ferry ride out of Munising.

Lehtos is good ..we get Pasties from the Party Store right across the bridge and west about 1/2 mile. They just sold the the party store so we will have to check it out.

who was the Minnesotan in a 560 with a red Subaru? We also took a wrong turn and had to go back on a side street off Hwy 28 and low and behold...there was a 550 parked in a driveway.
