The Glampette's first tv appearance :)

Hi Everyone!

New to the forum and six months into my experience being a tiny trailer owner.

Recently The Glampette and I were guests on a public access tv show here in Mountain View, California. With the trailer in studio, glamorously lit behind us, I had the opportunity to share some stories with the show's host about the design and build process, attending the CICO as my first tiny trailer rally, and safety tips on being a woman who travels alone with a tiny trailer.

You forgot the stopping just short of the top of the hill... yikes..heheh... it's all fun AFTER it's done...

Yeah Frank, at the time it was rather terrifying but now it's an interesting story. In truth I was equally worried about me being killed and the trailer's skin being dented by the hail three days after leaving MI. Fred told me if it got to marble sized it could damage the skin. When the hail grew to 1/2" in diameter my heart just sank. Thankfully there wasn't a mark on her when it was all over.

Jenn I wish we had met at the rally! Hopefully will run into each other somewhere before the next CICO.

Thank you Dan! Normally I hate being on camera but talking about the trailer is so fun I didn't even mind being on the show. I guess I just needed the right motivation.

And thanks Anna&Steve. I still have a few trips I haven't blogged yet. Will work on them over the winter. Probably no long trips until spring but planning a few overnighters around the Greater Bay Area this winter.

Heheh, think of them as "Character Marks" the dents would have given it "Character"...

Yeah, my friend told me if it got dented I should leave them because they'd be like battle scars. If the trailer were more than 3 days new I might have been tempted. I was thankful I didn't have to make that decision. Though with the sheer loudness of that hail pounding down on the car I was certain the skin and my vent/fan were destroyed. Glad to be wrong every now and then.
 
Yah the noise.... sounds like a Steel Drum.. I use a Canopy and of course keep forgetting to put it over the TD.. Canopies can be worst as they accumulate the water and dump it all at once.. it'll wake you up the first couple of times... then you wait for the next, so you're up anyway..
Like waiting for the other shoe to drop... heheh.. about morning time you're so tired you're ready to sleep... NOT...

It's all fun...
