Vegetable Chopper/Slicer

Thanks Jenn and Sherry.

I want to try a recipe that I have for zucchini crisps but don't have a tool for slicing the zucchini. When I saw this, I thought it might be a good thing to have when camping as well. I then thought about others who have stuff from Progressive so I thought I would ask.

It comes in red, so maybe I have to find room !
We are going out for a coastal trip, so Im rethinking my galley and what i need/use etc...

If you already have something at home, could you do the prep work before you left, package things up and then make what you wanted while you are out? Just a thought.

By the way, I love my stick blender. They are awesome! I hadn't thought to bring it camping though. Interesting idea.

Sarah, I don't have anything at home which started my search but when I saw the progressive chopper, I thought that I could use it camping as well.

It just arrived in the mail so I will be testing it out.

Mashed potatoes (I like mine a little lumpy, so it works perfectly for that), smoothies, etc. You could do whipped cream with it, but I have one of the nitrous whippers, so I use that. I also use it in baking to chop nuts and things. Beats breaking out the big food processor. I have a blender we got for our wedding 10 years ago, and I think we used it the first year, but haven't used it since. Mick won't let me get rid of it, so it just takes up room and collects dust. Stick blender gets used a lot. Do you have a cordless one? My I have to plug in, so I would have to make sure to have power.

Jenn, I used to make my green smoothies with my cuisinart blender but it never blended the ingredients so that I did not have pulp at the top. That is why I bought the Vitamix. The issue with the vitamix is that the base is really big.
