Possessing little if any wood working skills, I came up with a simpler solution, albeit less secure and elegant than the wood blocks. Two small pieces of industrial Velcro, seems to be secure enough for traveling.

Yah, I just wrap it in a dish towel...
but like the Velcro... 2nd GAWD's gift to man...
 
Does any one know if CI is going to design a way to secure the table extension holder during travel? We are not handy fixit people but will remember the Velcro idea when we get our 560.
 
Here is another simple solution. Took me about 10 minutes. Need 4 cord tees from blinds couple of rubber bands and you are done.
