This is expected to be a large gathering. It has been renamed and was formerly called "North Meets South" or "South Meets North," depending on the location.

Thanks for posting this. Has anyone been to this? Is this strictly a TD event or is there something else going on at the same time? I ask because the name "East Coast Nationals" sounds more like a auto event or something non-camping related.
 
It is a teardrop event. It started as a way of getting the teardroppers on the East Coast together & there was a bit of friendly rivalry with the North/South thing. The name was changed this year to reflect that it is a national gathering taking place on the East Coast. So now we have an International Teardrop Gathering (ITG) held in the Midwest every two years (in odd ending years), and a West Coast (International Redwoods Gathering) & East Coast (East Coast Nationals) gathering which are held in even ending years.

They do have quite a variety of activities that people can be involved with. The Tearjerker link I gave in my first post can give you more info on these.
