Sadly, it's too big to fit the factory opening in all 3 dimensions, which is too bad

That isn't the sleeve dimentions, it is the dimentions of the 5000 BTU thats there...I suspect there is only 1 manufacturer of them, they all look pretty much the same regardless of whos name is on it.

I'm not sure if there have been different manufactures, but the AC unit in ours is a little different than some of the newer units. The controls are on the left end of the outlet vents at the top, rather than along the side below the outlet vents. It would still be nice to know just how large a unit would be able to be put into the sleeve.

thats what mine looks like too - I think the form factor is pretty much ths ame on an all the 5000 btu acs
