The "Dew Drop Inn" Chronicles

yah, it's a good one "Off Season" that whole area, pennisula, is one rugged place...
It looks like your spot was right next to the one I had too..

Can't bring up the photo from here, but slight drop off from the pavement then fire pit and fence.... nice, just put your feet up, grab a beer and watch the waves roll in....
Sweet....

The Dewey and crew are once again camped at what's becoming our home away from home, Fort Townsend SP, and once again we have the place to ourselves.

We have been changing over to summer mode at our storage unit, packed away the NB and Mr Heater and broke out the Alcove and portable battery operated fan, makes us ready for the 4th annual NWRU. We're heading down Mossyrock way on the morrow, got a site booked at Ike Kinswa SP for a couple nights before the big event to avoid the always dreaded holiday weekend traffic. I will be reporting on the gathering in case ya'll were wondering, so return to the "Dew Drop Inn Chronicles" often and get all the news that's fit to print on this years "Camp-Inn Owners North West Round Up".

Hi Mike
We've had this fan forever, I think it's a Home Depot or Harbor Freight item. It moves a lot of air, we wish we'd had it on our trip to Kalalock last week cuz it got really hot, so into the kit it goes for this time of year. They have cig light plug fans at Camping World but then you are locked into using it at the trailer, we can put this anywhere and get a good breeze going.

I just got my 560 and I have planned a month long "break-in" trip from Maine to California and up through Washington and back to ME. I booked two nights at this campground without really knowing anything about it. After seeing your pictures I am now really excited to go there it looks fantastic.

Sounds like a wonderful trip you have planned, I think you'll love the park and it puts you close to Port Townsend, don't miss a visit to Waterfront Pizza, best pies on the planet. Check out my previous posts on the area in this thread.

Michael

Yes the park is nice but Kalalock is spectacular! Leave a bit of time if you can and visit Port Townsend as well, a very unique place.

Michael

We made it down Mossyrock way and camped at site 37 in Ike Kinswa SP. It is a beautiful SP along the shore of Mayfield Lake, got in late so will check out the rest of the park tomorrow. Nice big sites with lots of privacy.

photo22.jpg

Place is pretty empty with lots of unreserved sites, not a popular Memorial Weekend spot I guess.

Michael

Kewl, it is a nice spot. If they are open, but recall only 1 or 2 where you could see the lake... see ya tomorrow, will try to get into the camp inn site...

Frank's # 249
Joan's #445

632 with 32 in the background

Tom and Gayle's # 455
and Bob and Kathy's #454 got here as I write this.

We got our D&V dining table offset from Joe and Alex, they were great enough to hand deliver to folks at the gathering who wanted them. He had a stack of them so he had a lot of takers! It works fantastic, it really does a great job of getting the table off to one side so you can get at the sink, it also gives you a lot more room in the galley area, well done Dan and Vanessa and Camp-Inn.

Looks great!!! I hope you all have a great time! It's cool seeing the table extensions in use, too. The extra galley space is great!

Hi Dan and Vanessa, Joe brought 8 table extensions with him and Pat got her's at the nest so most of the trailers here are sporting your invention, well done!

The Friday night NWRU potluck was a great success, boy some great food can be cooked up in these little trailers...

That's all for today Camp-Inn fans, we'll pick this up again tomorrow, this is michaelo signing off.

Michael

Cel service fell off a cliff, so couldn't post, so here's one from yesterday.

Well Camp-Inn fans I thought I'd kick off today's coverage of the 4th annual NWRU with a couple of pictures of the the lowest and highest serial number teardrops present.

photo39.jpg

Norm and Peggy's #32, check out the gorgeous patina on this beauty , reminds me of the skins of the DC3s that they still use to fly freight to Catalina Island with.

photo47.jpg

Joe and Alex's #661, 661!, she's only 2 weeks old, they basically picked her up and drove straight here.

photo46.jpg

Check out the wheels would ya!
